Important Announcement: SongWritingFever.com will be shutting down all user-interactive pages effective as of Saturday 13 September 2014. We are very sorry about this. We will be working very hard to bring it back as soon as we can in a much better shape than it is now. What this means is that you will not be able to submit or view lyrics, upload or download songs, view other members profiles, sign up or sign in, or post to the forum. Again, we are terribly sorry about this and we hope that we can bring all those functions and more back soon.

Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge & Outro help!

Often it uses this pattern: Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus. The first verse sets-up the theme of the song with the last line offering a natural progression to the chorus. The chorus contains the main message of the song that is worth repeating. Then another verse where new details are revealed followed by the chorus again. Then a bridge is added which is often shorter than the verse. The bridge must be different from the verse, lyrically and rhythmically, and offer a reason why the chorus needs to be repeated.

Intro: It mainly contains instrumental music before a verse. Not all songs use an intro.
Verse: Writing arranged with a metrical rhythm, typically having a rhyme.
Chorus: A large organized group of singers, esp - one that performs together.
Chorus/verse Mix: This mainly contains a chorus and a verse in one, or there is no verse at all.
Bridge: Is often used to contrast with and prepares for the return of the verse and the chorus.
Outro: Opposite to an intro of a song. For example: Music/lyrics that are coning to an end.

Unusual song structure:
Intro-Bridge-Verse-Bridge-Chorus-Outro

Hope this helps! - If you find this helpful, please post a comment.

thanks mat, that first ling will be on my mind & now I know:

a songwriter is a cragsman & not headlong

Formula of song's body: arms-head-legs-head-heart- head

Intro is hair(tells the story of our song before the first lyric starts)

Verse or legs & arms (the body of our song)

Chorus is head(our focus) {ideally should have the hook/title}

Bridge or Middle is heart

Word is blood

Sing is movement of blood

Head is top & most important part

during dance sometime head was placed below legs

but a songwriter is a cragsman & not headlong
