Hey everyone,

I love music with everything in me. I'm completely new to songwriting as a whole, though I've been playing guitar and drums for years. I play somewhat sporadically though, usually meandering off and just improvising endlessly. While I believe this is a good skill to have, I would like to play with more focus and "purpose" so to speak.

I am often frustrated when I listen to the music I love. It's immaculate when compared to what I've been doing (obviously). This exact thing has inspired me to make an attempt at songwriting.

I've started to write ideas and thoughts down as well as some very basic theory study. My hope with coming to the site is simply to learn. I would love to get directions to good online resources and anything else that could help me expand my grasp of music. I'm looking forwards to becoming a part of this community!
