Hi, I'm a UK based songwriter/lyricist and have been writing now for about 3 years. I've studied at the British Academy of New Music, worked with and became an ambassador for the Princes Trust and have hopes of achieving a successful career as a songwriter. I am definitely up for collaborating with writers, musicians and vocalists on this site and look forward to having my work commented on and critiqued so don't forget to visit my profile and check out my work, the track uploaded at the moment was written for a friend on her behalf and is my most recent. I usually pen R'n'B type stuff but I am a writer, therefore, will work on pretty much anything once a concept and direction has been established. I write melodies, arrangements and can even assist "sound-wise" with production ideas etc, next year i'll be looking to organise and manage some live music events around South London with the focus aimed more at the songwriters...stay tuned for more info..!

Best Wishes over the New Year,
Blakesy

Hello Blake,

Are you a musician?

I am a melody writer and lyricist. I have a lifetime of music skills which I bring to my songwriting although I do not play an instrument. I was a trombone player but do not play any more.

I prefer to write with a guitarist although a piano player will do just fine too.

I recently recorded a 10 song CD of mostly blues style originals. There are also a couple of country songs as well. The link is:

I am interested in hearing from anyone who can play and songwrite actually. My Stage Name is Asbury Slim. My real name is Denis J Quilligan
