I've been writing lyrics for years and also mess around with the music side of things in Logic but I'm usually short on inspiration! Looking for collaboration on both lyrics and music, maybe building songs through file exchange, i.e. I write a lyric, someone adds a melody, then we work out a good chord structure, etc. Give me a shout if you're interested and I'll send some lyrics to get things started. but she always forget the melody!

Yeah, I'm in. Message me. this is the kind of collaboration i was looking for when i joined this site to be honest. I wish there was a "file exchange/song building" section to the website. but how would you categorize/title that? And how would you set it up, so one person plays producer or songwriter if its not a straight jam?

This seems like a more practical music collaboration method then just 'lyric writer meets music writer' scenario. Not that I don't think thats real magical and everything, y' know.

Hey John. I cannot compose but have thrown some lyrics back in forth with my brother in law who is a musician. Really enjoyed the experience. Am not of any help composing except have a pretty good ear I think. Can read music and play, unfortunately not the guitar. Have been writing for about 10 years. I love to write songs that tell a story but also enjoy a funlovin song with a good beat that can bring a grin. Enjoy songs of pretty much any genre, although seems most of my lyrics come out country. If you wanna throw some lines back and forth and see what comes out, would love to see if we can put somethin together. Drop me a line and let me know.
