Hey, I'm new... This is my first post and it's a small song i wrote not that long ago.
deep in my mind theres something cast away,
past the horizon and into the great plains,
blessed with shame and a case of hate,
as i'm placed and my knuckles tighten that they nearly break,
with the reflection of my face full of distaste,
i fall on my knees and see chased dreams drift away,

i hear the sound of my steps as i count my last,
a distant dawn aproaches with a shadow cast,
i set my way to my heart with the task,
i look up and wonder if there really is a god to ask,
glass shatters from above, i know whats begun,
I don't take the fear, i walk with dignity in my blood,

my eyes darken as i make my bed,
i stand tall before i fall and think it all through again,
the night fall comes early as i don't breathe,
my understanding has gone, taken it's leave, |
